Summer Time: Let's Glow!

Welcome to Summer! Disneyland Paris' summer season starts today (Saturday 6th July) and runs all the way through until 1st September. Why not take the time to profit from the 11pm closing time giving you a potential 13 hours in the park? You could enjoy the beautiful weather that Marne-la-Vallée receives, or just take advantage of the Billet été. The big attraction this summer, however, is Disney's Light'Ears which will be marketed heavily across the result.


 As the celebration of the 20th Anniversary begins to come towards it's finale, the lights will be glowing
brighter than ever thanks to Disney Light'Ears. The ears have been on sale for a few weeks, but it is tonight in which they officially debut. These ears are widely available resort wide, especially on Main Street where it seems they are on sale in every store!
The ears premiered to the press back in March, take a look at this video from DLRP Magic to see just how they change the show.

Why not also profit from a 2 day ticket instead of a 1 day ticket? Disneyland Paris' Billet été is the answer! For the exact same price as a 1 day/2 Park ticket you can experience a 2 Day/2 Park ticket, this ticket only really works for local residents. Your first visit must be between the 8th June 2013 and the 20th September 2013, and your second must be before the 27th September 2013. You must leave a 7 day gap between the 2 visits. But a fantastic offer if you are in the area for an extended period of time. Below is a promotional poster which appears in various places in French. I think the using the 2 'Monsters' of Sully and Beast is a really good choice here.

Disneyland Paris after dark

Ever wondered what happens once you've left the park? Just how does Disneyland Paris look so beautiful day in, day out. It's all thanks to the night team of over 200 people every day making the parks look beautiful, who, once the friendly 'Au revoirs' end and those park gates are locked closed, come out for a long nights work until opening time the next morning.

Well, last week DLRP Welcome and Disney Central Plaza (French Disneyland Paris communities) went behind the scenes once the park gates closed for an entire night of insight just so that we could find out what goes on overnight so that we can keep coming back and seeing the great looking attractions and scenery that we love. Today, they have released a video featuring all the amazing work that goes on, and some of the strange sights (such as vans driving down Main Street). Interviews are in French with English subtitles. So, sit back, relax and enjoy the work that happens whilst we sleep.

I'd like to say a huge Thank You to these cast members, your work may go unappreciated by the masses, but without you, our park wouldn't look so beautiful each and every day, and if you weren't there, we would all notice.  So THANK YOU!

Halloween soirée tickets on sale!

Tickets to one of the most special evenings on every Disney fans calendar, the Halloween Soirée, are now on sale at the Disneyland Park ticket offices at the entrance of the park.

Tickets cost €37 per person with reductions for annual passholders (-20% Fantasy Passeport Annuel, -30% Dream Passeport Annuel). The evening is from 20h30 until 01h00 with park access starting at 17h00 for those with tickets. (Tickets for the rest of the day at standard rate).
As per usual costumes are encouraged, but no covering of the face.

Expect wonderful one off shows and a brilliant atmosphere for one of the best evenings of the Disneyland Paris year!

Eurolines offer a new line to the Magic!

 The ways to get to Disneyland Paris have expanded once again. By car, by plane, by train and now by coach! Eurolines UK have launched a daily service to the heart of Disneyland Paris serving all Disneyland Hotels (except Davy Crockett Ranch) from London Victoria coach station.

The coach from London Victoria takes passengers direct to Charles-de-Gaulle airport from which you transfer to onto the VEA Shuttle to the heart of Disneyland Paris.

Departures are three times daily (two in the morning, 1 overnight). Adult prices start at £96 with coaches taking around 9 hours (including a 1 hour stop over in Charles-de-Gaulle airport for the VEA transfer).

This is great news for people looking for an alternative method of traveling to the resort in addition to all the current methods of travel.

Take a visit to Disney Store on Oxford Street, London. [PHOTO REPORT]

Whilst this is a site dedicated to Disneyland Paris, who doesn't like to have looks at other Disney things? Today we take you into the Disney Store on London's Oxford Street for a small photo tour. (Click on the images to make them bigger)

 

The outside of the store is a glass front with silhouettes of a London skyline behind the Disney logo,

The front of the store features a Finding Nemo themed coral decorated by plush toys from the Finding Nemo franchise.

This part of the shop is sweeeeeet! Totally.

New finale for Moteurs... Action! Stunt show spectacular

Since Saturday a new finale to the Moteurs... Action! Stunt show spectacular has been put into place. The new finale scene seems a bit less 'spectacular' and looses a bit of that impressive factor.
For those who did not see the former finale, you watched a montage of scenes that were 'pre-recorded' with the first unit, mixed in with the stunts you saw filmed during the show, then th
e red car would emerge from the first floor of the building immediately opposite the grandstand, and a drive underneath the stand greeted by flames and pyrotechnics.
However, the new finale sees flames and pyrotechnics but no more red car.

Now there is a bit of a shootout between the motorbike and the villains before the motorbike heads over the ramp under the grandstand which is followed by the fire and pyrotechnics.

UPDATE: This is just a temporary modification to the finale, we look forward to seeing the red car return real soon!

Toad Hall Restaurant re-opens

For the last month or so, the Toad Hall restaurant in Fantasyland has been closed for refurbishment. Toad Hall is a restaurant serving traditional British cuisine at the northern end of Fantasyland.

@Disney_ParisEN (the official English language twitter account of Disneyland Paris), the restaurant used to have 3 cashier desks, this has now been increased to 6 desks to speed up ordering, one of the lanes has been adapted to people with disabilities (this has already been done in 'Au chalet de la marionette' in Fantasyland), food is now served in a food basket (such as in 'Cowboy Cookout' in Frontierland), more good news for those concerned with how the food is cooked, the kitchen has been upgraded with the safety of the cast members in mind.

We also received information about the refurbishment from @insidedlparis (if you don't follow him, I really recommend it for the inside track on Disneyland Paris every single day), the menu remains the same (Menu 1 is Chicken Burger €10,99, Menu 2 is Fish and Chips with either a yogurt or ice cream for €11,99 or a double fish and chips with either fruit cake or fruit salad for desert) for €13,99. There are also sauce dispensers instead of sachets for Ketchup, Mayonnaise and Mustard.

Good news all round, who plans on eating some lovely Fish and Chips in Fantasyland on their next visit?

Toad Hall is located in northern Fantasyland between Peter Pan's Flight and the Disneyland Railroad serving a range of fast food options including a chicken burger and Fish and Chips, inside the restaurant is a traditional British theme and the character Mr. Toad from the 1949 Walt Disney Studio's film 'The adventures of Ichabod and Mr. Toad'.
